The drum major will lead the charge on a theme for costumes for this year's parade.\\n\\nWhile it may not necessarily be warm the day of the parade\, I still ask that students drink plenty of fluids to prevent heat related injuries.\\n\\nThe RCHS Bands is also proud to host the  annual Fright Night at Bower Park next to PizzaFast following the Olney Halloween Parade. At the end of the form the student will be asked to submit a link to their ILMEA District Festival audition video. If a student would prefer to re-film their video to audition for the festival\, that is fine. Simply follow the instructions outlined for the original video submission.\n\n\n* **#2** Students who would like to audition for the EIU HS Honor Band but did not audition or prepare the music for the ILMEA band instrument auditions are invited to prepare different audition material. DESCRIPTION:Select Students Only:\n\nThe EIU HS Honor Band festival will bring approximately 120-150 of the best high school band students around Illinois and Indiana to campus for a day of rehearsals\, master classes\, a faculty recital\, and a culminating concert conducted by the EIU band directors.\n\n&#x20\;\n\nTo be considered for participation in the honor band festival\, students must submit an audition video and an online application. The video audition procedure is similar to the Illinois All-State audition video submission\, and using the same video is encouraged. For those who did not audition for All-State\, alternative audition material and submission instructions are below.\n\nAll participating students will receive lunch\, a t-shirt\, and all instruction and materials for only $25/student. All-State and FME participants from the 2024-2025 academic year pay only $10 to participate. DESCRIPTION:On Memorial Day\, a bugler and a chamber ensemble performs at the Noble Memorial Day Ceremony. The Symphonic Band\, the Honors Wind Ensemble\, & the drumline are all performing at the Olney & Noble Memorial Day parade and ceremonies. \\n\\nHere are the details regarding the Noble and Olney Memorial Day Parade Ceremonies:\\n\\nNOBLE: The Cornerstone Community Church and the Mayor of Noble hosts a Memorial Day ceremony at the cemetery in East Noble. In the event of rain\, the ceremony will be held in the Cornerstone Community Church (160 E. Elm St. Noble\, IL). Immediately after the Noble ceremony\, the quintet and bugler will join the band at the Olney VFW.\\n\\nOLNEY: The VFW is hosting a Memorial Day parade and ceremony. The parade will begin at the Olney VFW. The ceremony will take place immediately after the conclusion of the parade at Haven Hill Cemetery (just north of the City Park). In the event of rain\, the ceremony shall be held in the VFW hall.\\n\\n**The uniform is khaki shorts\, black polo shirts\, socks\, belt (preferably black)\, and either Drillmaster shoes or tennis shoes.
